Does anybody have any experience registering new page templates using `registerTemplate`? I’ve got everything setup and the new template appears in the layout selector, but once its selected and I save the page, it reverts back to the default…

<@U7N1AH9LP> Yes, it turned out to be a defect (issue number 587379) and support was actually very efficient about releasing a fix. It appears to be working now. In the process, I was also able to find an effective workaround of setting the template field manually in the CMS Page record.

I am actually looking for someone using the "layouts" functionality as since we launched it I have seen before few people using it

Yeah, I had actually talked with Chad Jaggers about it years ago and was excited to see it come to life. This is the first project I’ve had a chance to use them on. Sparsely at first, but as we build out the site content, I could see using them more and more.

FWIW, I feel like they method for selecting a page template is somewhat hidden, so maybe people just don’t realize it’s an option yet. I knew they existed because of discussions with Chad and seeing them in a SW keynote, so they’ve always been somewhat in the back of my mind.

Good feedback, thanks for that. I agree, it´s kind of hidden, and if you don´t follow the release notes or training videos on suiteanswers you may miss this new functionality
