Before I pull the trigger, has anyone encountered any issues when switching to automatic SSL's?

Well, this message is not very encouraging 😄
Other than that, my experience while setting an automatic is just that it took a couple of hours for everything to work.

The automatic certificate is a basic DV certificate. We were using OV before, so we opted to go with a manual certificate. I would just make sure that DV is sufficient for your needs.

@Alex Cook We are currently using DV, luckily 😃
@PabloZ In the documentation I read, it sounds like this is for when you are migrating a site to SuiteCommerce or possibly between SC versions? It went on to say that if you are planning to migrate your site, to use a manual certificate until migration is complete, then switch to automatic.

To be fair it's not clear. Wording might be more scary than actual results. But I have had my fights with automatic, not in live sites, though.
I'd wait another year instead of saving the 65 USD (cheapest cert in godaddy)

Zero issues, 5 auto certs applied. Did receive a note the other day that mentioned if you wanted to use the CDN, auto SSL was required. Maybe someone from NS can provide more details.

You can use the manual certificate with the CDN, but NetSuite has to manage your CSR and key pair, meaning no customization on your certificate.
