Is there a way to update the Item Search API fieldset used within an CMS merchandising zone added through SMT?

Setup->SuiteCommerce Advanced->Merchandising Rules.
Look for the MZ.
There's a field for the fieldset in the record.

Awesome, that worked great! Thanks @PabloZ The confusion was in trying to configure the merchandising zone fieldset under Setup > SCA > Configuration > Advanced > Search Results.
