What's the deal with the new automatic certificates? Do you still need to have a SSL certificate from a provider? I tried this feature on our dev instance and it worked great. All I had to do was check the "Automatic Certificate" checkbox and everything was provisioned. We already have the certificate from GoDaddy, but when I go to the dev instance and look at the certificate, it says that it is issues by "Let's Encrypt Authority X3". This makes me believe that NetSuite is actually issuing the certificate. How is it that they can issue a certificate when I already have a valid certificate through GoDaddy with the same url?

If you use automatic, NS is requesting Let's Encrypt to issue a Cert in your behalf. If you use manual, then you'll be given a new CSR and you'll have to use that CSR in GoDaddy, and upload the new cert (based on the csr NS provided to you) to NS.

Okay I was going to ask you, but I Googled instead. I guess it is valid to have multiple SSL Certificates on the same domain. I figured you could only have one per domain.

Yup

If you download a CSR from NS, where does the information contained within the CSR come from? For example, Company Name, City, etc....

That's somehting that was recently asked by somebody up here and no answer yet
