Hi All, If we delete FAM Asset Depreciation History records, will it have any impact on the associated or referenced journal entries? We have entries posted in closed periods — will deleting the asset affect other assets or reports? We are looking to completely delete a fully depreciated asset that was incorrectly created earlier, so would like to understand the possible impacts before proceeding.

Prbly should check with NS support 1st - they have been pretty good for me in the past when needing to correct historical FAM issues/ or just FAM in general

Hi, deleting Depreciation history records will not have any impact on JE already created. That means you will still have amounts in GL Impact for that FAM. Deleting FAM will be nightmare for you. Manual deleting some FAM background records (values, depreciations...) is really hard. It is probably better to try with "inactivate", "don't include in reports" for this FAM I had similar experience, and now when a client start talking "I have a problem with FAM 🙂 ...." call the NetSuite support is my answer
