Admins who have gone through a transition to OneWorld - would you be willing to share some wisdom and insight on things to test or be mindful of post go-live? Things I am currently considering are: • Updating all actively utilized user roles to allow multi subsidiary viewing • Reports/Saved Searches are any permissions or subsid access changes needed? • Items, Vendors, Customers, Transactions, Do you need to manually assign subsidiary field retroactively via CSV Import?

When you first turn on OneWorld all records will default to a subsidiary (usually Parent Company) You cannot change this it is stuck this way on all records. I recommend you rename this subsidiary to be your current operating company Create a new parent subsidiary and use the preference to allow subsidiary hierarchy changes to restructure the company Add your other subs (don’t forget your elimination subs) OneWorld requires advanced taxes so if you don’t have that enabled you’ll now have to manage tax schedules (customers and items will default to taxable or non taxable depending on the checkbox before adv taxes) Also you’ll have to contend with tax nexuses on your subsidiary records If you have international subs install the international tax reports bundle Update all your forms to move subsidiary close to the top so it’s easy to find Update all your pdf forms to use subsidiary.logo instead of companyInformation.logo (and subsidiary name and address etc)
Make sure all new entities you have the right subsidiary assigned when created as it can’t be changed (you can have multi subsidiary entities but the primary sub is locked after you make a transaction Train your users that everything is dependent on subsidiary and once created you can’t change subsidiary on most records
Good idea to update roles. The subsidiary is set on the employee record but permissions are on the role to allow access to certain subs
Saved searches and reports follow the permission of the user/role

I would agree with all the steps above. In addition to these if the organization had setup a funky currency situation without oneworld and looking to unwind that now with oneworld you will need to also consider currency revaluation and the impact of gain and loss.
