Are there any docs for SCMA? I need to do the initial config and get an internal URL instead of a domain name.
s
• Docs are on the Help Center. • We do not offer internal URLs. Use a subdomain of an existing domain, or buy a cheap one.
c
So I can't progress without DNS config?
s
No. Why is that a problem?
c
Only from a speed perspective, we thought we could take a look at it today
It was just provisioned, I'm finding a massive lack of documentation or guides on how to deploy and get going.
s
DNS propagation is usually pretty quick but yeah, if you're clocking off in a couple of hours it might not be ready by then
Really? There's a lot on the Help Center
c
I've spent a couple of hours in the help center
Maybe I'm navigating it wrong but I'm not seeing a clear guide.
e.g. do I need to deploy an SSP? If yes, where are the code artifacts?
It tells you to install bundles but it doesn't tell you which ones you need.
Is SCMA an SSP? I would guess yes....
but I'm just guessing

If you want something more in-depth, we have a training course (https://mylearn.oracle.com/netsuite/course/suitecommerce-web-store-administration/84776/) but it's more broadly suited to SuiteCommerce, so there will be some redundant topics from an SCMA point of view
c
It looks like I am missing a bundle, that's my first step to resolve.
There's a lot of info in the help docs but there's no pyramid principle top down map of what you actually need to do.
s
Understood. I believe it is structured to maximise reusability given the near-identical similarities between SC, SCA and SCMA. If you want to send feedback, you can log in to the Help Center in NetSuite and leave a comment in one of the boxes at the bottom of pages. I know the technical writers read them.
I think there is a PDF version just for SCMA
c
The account manage didn't send us that.
Again, it's in the Help Center
c
I'm sure it is but finding what's relevant has proved to be a challenge.
I'm not the only one that's been through the help portal
I do appreciate your help though
s
🙂
No problem. This has clearly been a source of frustration for you, so I'm glad I could help
