Hi, is it possible to have "non-record" items in transaction documents? Context: Exotics are often used in mechanical and plant engineering. This article type is used for parts that are only manufactured once, i.e. they are unique. An exotic part does not require the creation of an article master; the associated administrative effort is eliminated. From a technical point of view, an exotic is defined via a production order header, a production BOM item or the item of a sales order; it can be used at any point in a structure. From a commercial point of view, an exot is used in the order item of a sales order to describe it and to provide it with a sales price; all sales-related or technically relevant documents are stored here.

I dont see Netsuite using the word "Exotics" We have a non-inventory item that we use if we need to add something to a transaction.

Hi Peter, Thanks for your answer. Do you use the same non-inventory item for all "exotics"?
p
We do. But could have more than one

Are you using that method for manufacturing parts as well?
