Hi all,
What’s the best approach concerning accounting and best practices.
We want to change shipping cost to reflect Ship Hawk shipping price for specific customers…
1. Workflow on Sales Order create/edit?or
2. Workflow on Item fulfillment create/edit?

I usually tend to go for item fulfillment shipping cost

This way with multiple fulfillments you can still get all shipping charges

Is shiphawk placing the shipping cost into the native shipping cost field or a custom one?

I’ve set this up a lot with different apps like shipstation pacejet shiphawk etc and ideally you would have shiphawk put their shipping cost into a custom field on the item fulfillment
Then use a workflow to transfer the cost from the custom field into the native shipping cost field based on your criteria (ie specific customer or specific shipping methods or billing terms)

Then you have the ability to add a markup if desired
