I need a solution that generates bar codes for each FA record, "integrated" into native NS. Can anyone help, please?

are you trying to print labels? or have something scannable on the screen?

we're trying to assign a unique code to each tool/equipment. these tools are often moved to different locations/projects. we need to be able to scan the code (physically attached to the tool), whenever it's moved to transfer accountability/cost, among others. currently, this is all manually done. just trying to see where we can cut inefficiency and improve accuracy in reporting

So, I use RF-Smart's label solution, it is called Summit IT. It lets me create labels with barcodes. The barcodes are highly customizable in ZPL but mine take you back to the FAM Asset Record and I have built a check in / Check out workflow.
