Hi Everyone, I would like to understand how the Inventory In Transit account works. Does it only reflect transactions that are truly in transit — meaning items that are either pending fulfillment or awaiting receipt? If that’s the case, I’m unsure why all my Transfer Order fulfillments and receipts are still showing in the Inventory In Transit account, even when the transfers have been fully fulfilled and received. I would appreciate any clarification on this.

because both transactions have credited / debited that account. If you think about it as a clearing account the only value outstanding should be the unreceived to's. Any received should balance against the IF

No closed TOs that were just partially fulfilled or received in reality?
No manual or direct posting to the GL account such as Journals?

Thank you @Bryan Miller, @Luis for your valuable inputs — I really appreciate your time and suggestions. I’ve reviewed the points you mentioned: • There are no Transfer Orders in my case that were closed while being partially fulfilled or received. • There are also no manual journal entries or direct postings made to the Inventory In Transit account. Despite this, I still see that all Transfer Order fulfillments and receipts continue to show up in the Inventory In Transit account, even when the transfers have been fully fulfilled and received. Could there be any other reason for this behavior?

Are there two entries for each fulfillment? One credit and one debit?
