Disclaimer: I'm not a finance person. In the Fixed Assets Module, we ran the Asset Depreciation for a particular subsidiary and a depreciation period in the past. Unfortunately, the batch got interrupted midway at the Update Asset Records set with the following error: "SSS_APP_SERVER_RESTART: Processing was interrupted due to app-server restart." So, this leaves me to think not all the assets depreciated. My question is: can I safely re-run this depreciation? Will it only do the assets that must depreciate, or will this also re-depreciate assets that have already been processed?

I believe no journal was created right?

If I look in Transactions > Financial > Make Journal Entries > List, I don't notice anything with a date matching the depreciation period I specified.

Have you looked into date created when you ran it.
Anyway you are safe to run it because Fam BG summary records will make sure it does not duplicate journal creation.

Roger that. I will let my finance colleagues know. Thank you. 🙂
