Our Company paid for Advanced Financials but it apparently was pitched to us by NS as being an out of the box solution, where in reality they have now come back and said we should expect to spend around $45K for the privilege of enabling the SW. I call BS. Any opinions on Advanced Financials and how hard it is to enable?

Oh wait a minute, scratch that (my deleted comment). You already paid and have access, but they're saying 45k to set it up? That's insane! It's not that hard at all: • Budgets are so simplistic you shouldn't need any help at all • Expense Allocations can be tricky, but once you get the hang of them and get a couple going, they're not bad. If you have really complex allocations, you might need some help or the functionality might not work for you • Amort schedules - pretty easy in general once you get the hang of it • Billing Schedules - they can get complex, but if you were pitched Advanced Financials instead of SuiteBilling, I'm assuming your billing isn't that complex • Stat accounts - pretty easy in general once you get the hang of it You can probably get 10-15 hours from a decent independent consultant for 10% or less of NS's estimate and be totally fine. You might not even need that many.

Thank you for replying RJMNS. How do I even see if it is enabled? I thought a sure indicator was that I could set up multiple budget periods without deleting the original "budget", but perhaps that was already in the base functionality. For our billing, I think a lot of it may be manual based upon the nature of ASC 606 and ASC842 and our leased products. Would love to see what functionality I could steal from the billing system...

Each feature has its own "switch", but Billing schedules and Amortization stuff is here if it's on. If nothing is on, it's under Accounting>Advanced Features in Enable Features if you have access to that.

Thanks boss!
Are Allocation Templates already in your "Transactions-> Financial" menu? I can see those but no Amort templates...

Yes Allocations are at Transactions>Financial, but the Amort Templates are at the location above if they're on. If they're not there, you might need to turn them on.
