Is it possible to create a standalone Intercompany Sales Order with inventory items, without using the “Manage Intercompany Sales Orders” page?

you could, and they will eliminate, and if there is no IC PO the offset will be in CTA Elim

and, of course, there will be no connection to the IC PO if it exists


Yes, it works with an non inventory item but with an inventory item  it seems that netsuite requires you to enter the PO first and then use the manage intercompany customer orders
If a create a sale order directly I have this error message : You must create a purchase order first to transfer intercompany inventory."



yes, you are right, inventory items are different story, since they have to be "physically" moved.  I suppose no for the IC SO... with inventory items ;9
