I am testing out Celigo CloudExtend (gmail sync) and I noticed something interesting. They have a search bar that lets you search for records, and it appears to search accross almost everything - customers, vendors, and even custom records. For example if I type in a name, it's suggesting custom records with that name. Does anyone know how that is possible? Surely they aren't issuing a query/search for every single custom record type in our system, right?

is it not just leveraging global search?

@Cory Weiner it's leveraging global search. You can also type cu:jones to limit your results to just customers.
