Has anyone ever had any luck with getting around Customer Center permissions issues in a Client script?

What are you trying to do? There are some scenarios in which calling a suitelet with higher permissions would help you to retrieve some data.

I echo the question what are you trying to accomplish? All of the Center based permissions (Vendor, Client, Partner, Employee) are vary limited on purpose and getting around them is A. very difficult, again on purpose, and B. not in anyway supported
