What is BEST PRACTICE if I got two groups of users : Subsidiary A and Subsidiary B They want to print checks each for their own subsidiary's transactions Print Checks & Forms > Checks only will print checks using the Preferred form. A role can only have one preferred form. 1. Is best practice to make two different roles and make one group switch when they want to print checks? 2. How about using Print Checks & Forms > Payment Vouchers (which lets you select your bill payment form)?

Not ever used them so I can't guarantee it works, but there are check settings on subsidiary-level Preferences. If you just have one check form per sub, in theory setting it there should roll it down to any user.

Hmm thanks @RJMNS So users all with the same role can print specific checks for bill payments with different subsidiaries ? Yes that's the goal. I'll check it out

I think that's the intent of that feature, but again I've never ended up using it, so it may not work exactly that way. Sometimes NS doesn't work the way I assume it would based on that kind of thing. 🙂 Worth a shot before trying to script something though.

@RJMNS All I see for check prferences in subsidiary is Voucher vs Check. What I'm talking about is choosing between two different Advanced PDF HTML templates based on subsidiary

Ah I misunderstood. You're probably looking at a script then.

Alternatively, you could create a different Form for each subsidiary, and designate a separate PDF/HTML template per form.
