Anyone work closely with outsource mfg? I have a client that has multiple services being offered by multiple vendors before we reach the finished good. Native NetSuite seems to require 1 outsource mfg po per vendor, however, due to the requirement of having multiple steps, the traceability gets muddy really fast with multiple items and having to manually create outsource mfg pos on each step

I'm driving outsourced mfg through MRP fairly efficiently. Are the multiple steps that 1 item goes to multiple different vendors for work?

Ahh, the Russian Nested Doll. This is a real pain. I haven't had to try to leverage MRP to do this, however I can see it working fairly well to do that. The last company I did the nested dolls at they had a huge difficulty managing the flow because they were not using MRP to drive the signals.

Will MRP keep track of the progress and trigger the next PO/WO?

It will based on start / end date and lead time info. Are you currently using MRP at all?

Natively you still have the same problem, you will have to create and manage all the wo/po's by hand
