Hi all!
My team is looking to restrict Purchase Orders permissions for all roles since many roles can create their own POs. The financial/accounting related roles should have full access to all POs while the non-accounting/finance roles should have access to POs they and their subordinates created. I've tried setting the restrictions on the department level using the 'own and subordinates only' value, but this was affecting users from accessing other reports and records.
How can I update the access for roles only for POs instead of multiple records/reports?
P.S. please direct me in the right path if this question has been answered.

Maybe you have to create a separate role just for restricted PO access?

do you have employee center roles? I believe employee center restricts users from being able view any records except their own and subordinates

Employee center role can be one solution as @PF said. Another one can be to use a workflow to restrict access/view

@PF, we have the employee center role available. It seems like we could remove the purchase order permission for the other roles and only allow POs to be accessible via employee center role.
I've assigned myself the employee center role and added my subordinates. However, I'm not able to view my subordinates POs.

I do not believe you need to set restrictions on the segments for that to happen

It's automatically set. I attempted to recreate this role and the restrictions were already set and cant be updated.

I managed to create a separate role with only PO access like @Luis mentioned which is working as expected. Thank you all for your help.
