how does one handle promotion that expires on Friday, but entered that order on Monday, because it came in after they left for friday. the promotion would expire on 11:59 pm on Friday Extending promo till monday is not an option

Can you make an identical (non published) promotion with a different expiration, just for manual override situations such as this?

You can’t use the same promo code. I tried to change the transaction date to within the range which actually worked

Ahh yes, that's a good way (if your account department doesn't get mad.) I usually just ever-so-slightly change the promo code in my "extended expiration" copy. We only have to manually do that on any straggler orders we accept after the buzzer. Glad you got it!

so ideally it should be for the day the order came in, right even for the aging purpose so I think this is good
