#C2SGFFVLG #C298P0BCK does anyone have insights on how to use reorder points/preferred stock levels with auto-calculate? It seems really silly that Netsuite won't auto-calculate a reorder point until there is enough historical data, but yet it won't add the item to the orders screen until there is a reorder point. So how do you know to order an item if NS won't calcualte a reorder point, it seems like a catch 22 you can never get out of unless you manually set the reorder point. but then once you manually set the reorder point Netsuite won't ever auto-calculate it....what a mess! Any thoughts on this would be really appreciated. thanks

Curious to know how many people actually using this, I’ve never trusted any of their demand planning.

Set up manual reorder points and then after a few months perform a mass update to switch to Auto-Calculate. I’d recommend doing it for a few items first to ensure your settings are configured sensibly and the suggested re-order and preferred stock levels make sense.

Thanks @Eureka Solutions Kenneth I read somewhere that if you have manually entered a reorder point that netsuite will not override it with a calculated one is that true?

For initial implementation, I always default reorder points manually, if no reorder point then need to set =0 as you have found if the reorder point is null/empty the order items page will not show the item even if there is demand for it
