It could be a side effect of AI (in my opinion) it could take a couple of years, a couple of miss fortunes for the businesses to tune-up their HR and/or hiring process when they realize that somebody talking to an AI agent is not a solution architect or a software engineer.

No, is not.
It could, once is capable of guessing (read minds) what the customers or users mean to ask, modify that unstructured wish, make sense of it, transform it into something with structure and actionable and then accurately solve the problem that the users or customers are unable to explain or articulate over.

I've seen some wild behavior by recruitment and individual employers. Its not just ghosting its all around weird. I've been recruited by real people for jobs that were never even approved. Which begs to question why did we go all the way to salary negotiation when there was never a job?

Yes, I had a recruiter reach out recently about a job that was discussed, but not approved. I told them they shouldn't be wasting people's time, and they still had the nerve to ask me if I knew anyone who might be interested.
