why would me WIP account change so much when everything else stayed the same? I edited the ASSYB# material/labor

I don't believe so and the timestamp on these changes at at 9pm at night so kind of odd. I may have fat fingered how many pieces in assembly build and then fixed it but don't see that edit anywhere

Go to Setup > Accounting > Inventory Costing Preferences:

it says 6pm. There were a few Old Value New Value links to click and they are changing amounts on RAW materials and then the last impact change was in the WIP account $2,849.97 to $383.03

The only thing that changes that after the fact is the costing engine.

Can you look at the history of the form? This does not sound like an upgrade issue. It sounds like someone change a setting on the form or a Workflow.
