Hi All, I set up the local environment by adding the website domain name and IP entry in the hosts file. However, when I open the domain name in the browser, I get an error stating, "This site can’t be reached." I followed the steps below but had no luck. Any thoughts?

This looks like a screenshot from an old SCA training course. Is this current (ie recently sourced from NetSuite or our learning partners) or have you downloaded this from another source?

Thanks for your quick response @Steve Goldberg! I have downloaded it from the Internet.

"The internet" is incredibly vague

Anyway. I would say that this is very outdated and won't work
In a few months we will be deprecating all insecure domains and will require all sites to use the secure domain process
thankyou 1
So you should set up a secure domain in NetSuite

Got it. Thank you! In previous versions, even if a test domain was configured, once it was added to the hosts file, we could access the domain on our machine, even if it was not public. However, this behavior will also be deprecated since it runs on HTTP?

Well without more information from you about what exactly is going wrong, I can't help you. But I am imagining that your browser is trying to upgrade the HTTP request to HTTPS and this is failing

I have configured the secured domain in NetSuite, but it has not yet been configured with the domain provider. I would like to test it by adding it to the hosts file. I added the domain to the hosts file, but when I try to access it in the browser, it throws this error.

Well yeah, using a hosts file is pretty useless
