Hello <!here> are there any SAAS companies out there who have set up a "Self Service" way for new customers to sign up for software subscriptions? Netsuite's Sitebuilder it geared around the shopping cart model which doesn't really work for us. Wondering if anyone has already cracked the code for subscriptions.

We're in the process of doing this. We've essentially created a customer login where they can manage their account, check support cases, etc, but I don't believe the have the option to update billing yet.

Did you use what Netsuite's Sitebuilder provides out of the box? Or did you have to customize it?

Most of what we've done is out of the box.

but haven't tackled the billing part yet.. i.e. signing up for subscriptions? So in that case, are the customers signing up through the portal already signed (have a contract with you)? Or are they coming to the portal as new unknown accounts?

Right now our contracts are still old fashioned and given to clients by the Account Manager.
