was the credit added as the asset to FAM? if not it should be, and then you can dispose of it as well. Technically you should have merged the original asset with the credit asset and then you would dispose of both at the same time

Sorry not entirely sure what you mean. Do you mean manually create an asset based on the credit memo? We don't currently have the system allow negative asset cost and have never used that feature. Also How do you merge them? Component? Is that necessary or could you just dispose of them separately.
Netsuite ACS can't seem to give me a straight answer on how to deal with bill credits for bills that create assets
This whole process seems very clunky and right now we are likely going to just adjusting everything via journal entries,. Not a fan of that since it will likely to lead to reporting issues since FAM so heavily relies on the FAM asset records. It seems like it could be a common problem with assets and it seems odd that NS doesn't have a clear way to handle it.
Basically it boils down to: Is it possible to clear the accumulated depreciation using a FAM process without hitting the underlying asset account. We already cleared the asset account with the Bill and Bill Credit and we are left with the accumulated depreciation. It does not seem that FAM has a way to handle that. Everything option will hit the asset account and cause the same problem as it did before.
