Anybody know if there is a new to remove the prepended parent name from the "Name" field of matrix child items in search results? I know I can remove it in Excel with a regular expression, but I'm hoping there's some way I could do it by default. Our items are named in such a way that it's obvious that they're children, I can't imagine I'd ever need that information and it would save me from removing it every time.

I usually create a custom field for name then use a workflow or even field sourcing to copy the name field into this custom name field. Then you can display the custom name field in searches and reports Works for accounts, department, class, location and anything with hierarchy as well

Seems like a lot of work for something you'd think would be a configuration setting somewhere voodoo stanley
