Github Copilot suggested this to me for a vendor approval email sent to approvers... any idea how that link ends up having the account id in the email instead of
system.na2
?
n
have you tried: https://system.netsuite.com ?
(only suggesting because a quick look at the records browser uses that, it might be a nonsense)
m
Even if that works... why in the email itself you don't see
system.na2...
or
system...
and instead you see the account number? Even the
href
tag has a link that starts with the account id, it is not just the text.
n
Maybe I misunderstood your question. NS uses the account id for routing, if that's what you're asking. You need the account so it knows which record with a given id you're talking about since it's not exclusive across the NetSuite.com domain. If you're asking why Co-Pilot gave that answer, I'd be wary of trusting AI for code generation generally and say I dunno 😄
m
No, I asking what exactly changes
system.na2...
to
<account-id>.app.netsuite...
How the URL ended up having the account ID while what is in the code is
system.na2...
?
