, I have a Canadian subsidiary with a US nexus. When creating a sales order for a customer in the US (billing and shipping address in Texas), I am unable to select a US tax code. Why is this happening, and how can I configure the system to allow the selection of a US tax code for this transaction ?

double check the nexus record. while it was applied in the past if its now inactive it would be like it was not assigned.

also the US nexus is more than simply the country. Each state is a unique nexus. No Texas no trigger

Is the US nexus associated with the subsidiary record?

It sounds like your US nexus is not currently active. Go to the list of Nexuses and check to see if the one for Texas is checked as Inactive. Also you should verify your address records are truly filled out. Do this by checking the address record in EDIT not just in VIEW
