Our reporting team needs to use the SuiteAnalytics workbook but they're only given roles that use SSO. I know you can't use SuiteAnalytics with an SSO role but has anyone found out a way to get around this? Just weighing my options before creating a new role w/o SSO that'll allow them to use the workbook.

Wow, I didn't know this. Was considering SSO to embed NSAW into the dashboards, but now I need to be sure we can fully transition to it first w/o needing SuiteAnalytics.
p
I think you might be confusing SuiteAnalytics Workbook with SuiteAnalytics Connect. SuiteAnalytics Connect is not compatible with SSO and requires a different connection role to access data externally. SuiteAnalytics Workbook is within the NetSuite UI and can be used by SSO roles.
c
We're using an exact replica role with SSO and Analytics workbook isn't working for them
And works fine with the non SSO role
p
That's interesting, we use SSO for all non-administrator roles and we use SuiteAnalytics workbooks for multiple processes with no issues
c
Do you use SuiteSignOn or another one?
Maybe this is an IAM issue idk
meaning our provider
But yeah I can't wrap my head around it.
p
No, we use SAML SSO/Google dashboard, that could be the difference there but I'd be surprised that it works one way but not the other
c
Going through each permission level to see if there are any differences between the roles before pointing the finger at Okta, or better yet, scripting the report they need lol thanks for the feedback!
p
I used Okta SSO in a previous role and don't recall having any issues with SuiteAnalytics, but there could have been updates since then - hopefully you find the issue!
c
Same I've never run into this before with them, just started here so figuring all this out lol
t
We use SSO/SAML with our Azure Active Directory and we have no issues with the roles with SSO accessing SuiteAnalytics Workbooks.
r
We also have SSO set up and our SSO roles have no issues accessing Workbooks.
c
We found out it isn't an SSO issue. There's a permission violation with some of the references in the workbook.
