whole health care industry in US is a scam, big pharma will not invest in cure for any disease but on maintenance thus having customer for life. I have worked in big pharma for 6 years and have seen this quite often, one company created a vaccine for Aids but ran out of money before they could finish the phase 3 trial, investors stopped funding them. GSK was doing clinical trial for another Aids vaccine in Africa in early 2012 and put holt to it when their maintenance drug for Aids got approved - mo money for them!!! Drug prices are few thousand percent inflated in US because insurance companies, middle man/plan mangers, distributors, pharmacies and drug maker are taking their cuts in every step. Whereas other countries process is simple thus cost is low.
