anyone here rocking VR monitors? 😆
k
I wonder if that would be even remotely efficient.
s
mm so after I said that I tried remote desktop on VR, I think it's the future and it works alright?
if you can touchtype though, and if it doesn't have a keyboard overlay.. you might be in trouble though
just saves you buying like multiple monitors when you can just kinda spawn multiple monitors? (currently for a subscription fee though, maybe it'll change who knows)
k
right - but the question would be why constrain to a monitor if you are doing it in VR - and not something like out of minority report where they just move windows around into empty space and bring it back into focus.
something like an augmented reality approach rather than constraining it to an actual monitor.
s
oh actually in Quest 2 now, if you did get the subscription basis model of vr workspace (?) equivalent you do get the minority report style up to a certain amount of monitors
for the um VR Desktop (aka pay once and no subscription app) you dont have multiple screen support right now, but hopefully they'll key it in since the hardware does support it now
k
Ah, you are using the word monitors in a place where I'd consider it a window haha
Though I suppose it's a monitor/window hybrid.

my bad that's exactly what i meant
actually my main concern is if it'd help with short sighteness (myopia) haha
