I'm trying to optimize a rather big query and this part is what pulls out the transactions. While trial-n-error it, I found that including the column recordtype will double the query time! Could anyone else corroborate this?

Open a support ticket. Provide them with timing differences between the two. Support have actually been pretty good & fixed a couple of netsuite2.com perf issues for us (via defects & bug fixes)
