I was just creating a saved search on the Location segment record. Parent of {parent} is a field on the record and is on the records browser, but the field is not available on a saved search. Just wondering if anyone knows why. One of those weird things I have trouble explaining to a client. (Or if it is available and I've just missed it, I'd love to be wrong.)

I don't have a reason why, but many more fields are available for most segments in Analytics Workbooks. Including parent Location.

GL Accounts especially have a bunch of missing fields in Saved Searches, which has always been irritating.

It's the number of joined connections available: Searches have 1 level of connection, while Analytics has 2.

So you can connect from the first record you connect to.  That adds a branching list of data you can go get.
