@Luis Check if there is a closed Bank Reconciliation under the Account and imported online banking statement. If yes, delete all the Closed Statement and online bank date before deleting the Bank Account record.

Not the solution you want but: inactivate it instead of deleting it

Is its internal ID 1? There are a dozen or so "system" accounts that come with the system when your account is provisioned so you could in theory start transacting the day your account is provisioned. A cash account, an AP account, an AR account, an expense account, etc. The system won't let you delete those accounts, even if they've never been used. I'm guessing you might have found your original cash account?
