Is anyone doing dual sourcing for a single SKU, and managing dual countries of origin? Any advice or pitfalls? How do you manage it in Netsuite?

I have some items I triple source. and I dont have a good way of dealing with the limited country of origin. I was thinking of making a custom record field. But how exactly to get it to work is the hard part. with multi vendor, there should be multi COO.

@Pete Kastner how do you handle downstream systems like an ecomm store or pos that only accepts one COO per SKU?

I don't have a good way currently. I did find Enhancement # 264790 Summary: Add new Manufacturer Country on item record

@kevinharwood we made sub-skus for the different origins. Oil/gas equipment distribution. Sometimes there are 20 different vendors / origins based on customer approved manufacturer lists.
