I am trying to create a stock ledger saved search based on a custom record. The screenshot is a simplified version of the actual output which is meant to be a custom record. Anyway, I am planning to populate the stock-related fields via saved search. For example, the “OPENING” field will be all inventory-affecting transactions of the item since day 1 until 30/11/2024 because the period covered is 1/12/2024 to 31/12/2024 (or Dec 2024). Is it possible to filter the summary saved search by the date and item indicated in the custom record? When creating a summary saved search, we usually use Internal ID in the Available Filters to link the summarized results to the custom field and record.

Have nothing to contribute here 🙂 but in our (acct) world this search is called a rollforward, maybe it will be helpful at some point.. also you may want to do this search not by date but by the period?

Yeah it is basically a rollforward. Our inventory transactions have aligned transaction dates and posting periods. I just thought that it's easier to feed dates to saved searches than periods. But will definitely revisit it. Thanks

Dates can be outside of period, so do what you need, dates or periods, perhaps both are important
