Hi everyone NetSuite doesn't allow special characters in customer email (ñ, á, etc). Is this documented somewhere in the NetSuite docs? I was looking for the RFC that NetSuite adheres to regarding email field formatting, but cant find anything to share with my team.

only certain special characters allowed in email address. Here are some special characters that are allowed in email addresses: • Before the @ symbol • The following characters are allowed before the @ symbol: numbers 0-9, uppercase letters A-Z, lowercase letters a-z, plus sign (+), hyphen (-), underscore (_), tilde (~), exclamation point (!), number sign (#), dollar sign ($), percent sign (%), ampersand (&), single quote ('), period (.), forward slash (/), equal sign (=), caret (^), accent mark, left curly brace ({), right curly brace (}), and vertical bar (|) • • Quoted • A quoted string can contain any ASCII character from 0 to 177, excluding the quote and the carriage return. • • Backslash • A backslash can be used to quote any character and cause the following character to lose its special meaning. For example, to include a quotation character in an email address, place a backslash in front of the quotation character.
