Is Master Production Scheduling in the Planning Workbench just a filter or does it enable any additional functionality? I know it initially did nothing when the workbench rolled out a while back.+

It is just a filter, typically used to filter Assembly Items (assigned to MPS) with Components (assigned to MRP)
