Is it possible to have the customer part number be pulled into the quote level? it works accordingly on the SO
m
I think you can create a custom column field and create a workflow to pull through the customer part number. But I don't think if you can default the value on the custom column.
n
We just did this recently. I found that you have to add the SCM script(s) to the Quote record. I think UE and CS both, SCM Transactions (UE/CS)
u
Stupid question, what do you mean exactly by UE & CS?
n
User Event & Client Script

Hey Nick, is it possible to add the customer part number subtab on the customer level as well?
m
I think it should be there by default If it's not I imagine you can use a sublist save search?
What do you think @Nick W.?
u
That's what i was thinking
n
Yes, it should be there by default, but is not. We added it to the Sales subtab as sublist using a saved search.
u
when i go to custom form > sublist> entity
i don't see the saved search as an option even though i have the make as sublist checked off on the search level
it works on the item level

maybe it needs to be a new one? Or it might not show up right away. I know we had to play around with it.

Can you add the internal ID of the customer on the available filters and you don't need to take the check box to show
u
Not sure why I can't get it working
on the custom sublist level im unable to find my search

Another thing i noticed, on the customer record we have the customer 360 tab and a sublist for customer part number. I beleive this is from the bundle. For some reason no data is pulling on this screen but we have 51k customer part number in system. and it works perfectly on the item record
m
It's a strange one. You should have a subtab in the customer record displaying customer part number (Standard Customer Part Number Form) check SuiteAnswers Id:49842
n
This is the screen I used to add the sublist to the customer record (entity). Customization -> Forms -> Sublists -> Lists and just added the column. My custom search was available here, but this looks to be the same as using the New form as well. Make sure your custom search is public and available filter is Customer

Nick & Merk, thanks for the help! I guess it wasn't working originally because of the filter i had. Once i added the customer filter the search was working according and showing up on the list
Thanks for the help gents. Much appreciated!
