These days basically the browser is my OS and is the common runtime where others never quite succeeded (e.g. java, silverlight, flash, various SDKs for Windows/Xwindows compat, etc.). From an application perspective. Even 'native' apps are web apps. Like even this Slack desktop app I run (on linux) I think is probably Electron based. As is VSCode
