Its all marketing and psychology. If you can make the chubby kids in the computer classes and the non-traditionally athletic outcasts feel like a "traditional" sports figure, then its gonna make you money. They don't have the ability to go out and do the physical things we see nfl/nba/nhl etc... doing and EVERYONE has access to a computer and the exact same tools as these "e-sports" people.
