About what exactly?

It's not possible to "un-receive" anymore. You used to be able to zero out the lines and now validation prevents it. The only way to do it is deleting the IR, which is a no-go as we're in the middle of SOX work
😮 2
whether or not that amounts to a bug is not really the point. just a hilarious way of saying we're not gonna make any changes
z
what's SOX?
r
Oh man. If you don't know/haven't been forced to learn, don't ask..lol. Seriously though, it's basically a government regulation in the US that dictates how public companies have to run business processes and separate duties, etc to ensure you're not committing fraud. Created as a result of the Enron scandal back in 2000.
z
oh it's like reporting regulations? crying sunglasses
ive only worked for privately owned companies or nonprofit and never had to worry about it lol
r
more audit regulations
Think about anything you've had to do relating to auditors and take it times 100.

ya, every financially relevant change requires a ticket, a request, an approval, and proof of the change. so fun

@reptar I have a SOX readiness kit in one of my suiteworld sessions. Will send you the link. By the way your company's stock is not doing well for a while.

Hmmm interesting! So they're gonna start pushing us towards analytics a lot more as time goes on it seems.
m
@Isaac M I think the big push to analytics (both by sales and these other things) is to support what they were showing about AI in last years keynote. Without an extensive and superbly clean data warehouse those cool AI functions could never work Maybe they are trying to get companies better prepared for the AI future by pushing data warehousing and analytics now
i
Ah, yeah, that does make a lot of sense
