Hey @karlenigma. I'm an independent developer, and I've been using Freshbooks (https://www.freshbooks.com) for several years now. I highly recommend it. It isn't free, but it is reasonably priced. Their recurring invoicing feature is easy to use and reliable. Hope this helps.
