Hi all, just updated a site for somebody in Australia, and the blog stopped work (bad times), done a bit of digging and I can see this error: “Permission Violation: You need a higher permission for custom record type Blog 2.0 Page Type Post to access this page” Anybody know how to solve this, not sure if the shopper role is changeable and the blog records are all locked.
s
I think you need to raise a case.
g
Could it be related to other posts yesterday about a security update?
s
I can't comment on that.

@Gordon Truslove i can confirm. It’s related yes because it happen the same to me, they push a change on August 17th that broke my store because the reviews service didn’t had a role and shown permisons violation on the front end as well.
g
Good to know. Have you heard any news about them fixing it?
m
No, thanks god I have a SuiteCommerce Advance and I was able to fix it by myself

Just been on to support. Apparently they’re getting about 5 calls an hour with similar issues and they have a “canary fix” whatever that means, that can be pushed in the next day or so.

They pushed the fix, now sorted.

How did you do it?
w
NetSuite says they pushed an update on our account, but the SMT/CMS Landing Page and Blog are still showing Page Not Found.
s
Landing pages and blogs should be fixed. Could you try clearing the cache for one of your CMS/blog pages and see if it works after doing that?
It's possible the 404 page has been cached
j
Still not working unfortunately.
w
Already did cleared my cache, used Guest Account, and Incognito mode.. Still same.. waited over night but issue still persist.
