Hi. Item price was increased after the quote and sales order were created. When the sales order is invoiced, it is picking up the updated increased price. Is this the standard behavior?

This doesn’t seem right. The invoice should copy from the SO Is the invoice being made via script?

Invoice is getting created via UI and/or billing operations.

Hmmm that is weird. I’ve always had it work the other way where I WANT the invoice to use the new updated data but it always just copies from the SO

Not sure if this is your use case but we had this happen due to custom pricing scripts. We initially had the scripts running on both Sales Order and Invoices but in the instance where the SO was created during one week and the INV another we could potentially end up with different prices...so we turned off pricing scripts from INV so they run solely on SOs.
