FYI, last month we enabled a feature on our CDN so that it will optimise image file size and serve images in next-gen formats. Therefore you may start to see some of your images being served in, for example, AVIF for WEBP. You don't need to do anything for this (other than, of course, enabling CDN caching on your domain). File extensions on images do not need to be changed or anything.

Note that this does not change NetSuite behaviour - so, for example, please don't upload item images in AVIF or WEBP. Continue to use JPG/PNG.

Nice. Will this optimization be applied to previously uploaded images, as well?

Yes. You don't need to do anything to your images.

We are currently using SuiteCommerce Advanced version 2023.2.3. Can we upload JPG and PNG files, or will we need to update the version? I mean, is this release tied to a specific version or not?
