Error ( the allocation sources or destinations did not have any expenses associated with them for the selected period) I’m getting this error after set up of allocation schedule and after ‘creating a journal entry’

you do not have anything to allocate, your source accounts for this period have $0 balance. you need to post expenses for the period and then you can allocate them

Thanks @Karina, the allocation from source account is for Revenue and I have chosen the next date to be for previous periods as I’m working in sandbox. Still error is coming! Not sure where I went t wrong?

you need to make sure you have a balance in the account you are allocating from. then you have to match perfectly what you are allocating (dept, class, location). if it does not match it does not allocate. period does not matter per se as long as you have available balance in your source

I will try again and let you know. Should metrics of classs, dept etc filled? Or just the metrics in my saved search attached to statistical schedule

Aah, so you have statistical sch. It means whatever classification you have there does not match what you have in GL.

@Karina Yes stat sched with attached saved search including criteria for the income GL that I need to allocate with classifications of location and class. Not sure what’s not matching!
