in SS 2.0? I'm pretty sure there is no method as per docs but can we set the alignment?, Customer wants all numbers fields middle or right aligned so they are not squished up

You can change to a text field and center via html

I'm assuming it will loose the number sorting ability?

Yeah probably

maybe if at same time you embed the numeric value into an html comment and 0 pad the commented numbers so that string sorting mirrors numeric sorting?
