Is there any issue in using Suitelets instead of RESTlets to escape the OAuth2.0 problems?

The client won't be able to implement OAuth1.0. So we are thinking about using Suitelets and use a manual simple method as authentication.

the main concern I'd have is security. The other is 1/5 the governance available to Suitelets
